How do you paste links

Everytime I want to provide a link I have to write it down and then type it in. There has to be an easier way just to computer stupid to figure it out.

im not very computer literate and ive had trouble myself, but the easiest way i have found is either right click and copy shortcut , OR right click save the page to my "favorites" and then right click in favorites and go to properties and copy the URL.

When I right clip to copy, the paste is not highlighted?

Just left click and hold right before the link and go over it until its highlighted then right click on whats highlighted and click copy then right click where you want it and click paste.. Thats how i do it and seems to work well.
