How does your mopar hibernate?

I posted this in another thread a few years ago, but it’s a good example of what happens when you don’t let them hibernate around here.

Mine sits comfortably in the semi heated 50-55 degree attached garage

For those of us who live in the frigid, salted-road, deep freeze of the north, our babies have to sit for 6-8 months!
What do you do with your classic? Cover or no cover? Up on jack stands? Do you go through muscle car withdrawal and wonder why you live where you live???
Well my Charger rests in a non-insulated garage, draped in a perforated car cover (I think it was a cheap-o from carcover dot com). In the fall I clean her up nice, take the battery out, put the cover on, and then complain about the weather until spring!
Here she is right now:

First thing I do is to change the oil before putting it up for the winter months, can't believe all the guys that wait until spring to change their oil, why let that dirty oil and all the crap settle in the bottom of the oil pan only to be circulated through the engine on start up in the spring. My #'s 68 Coronet RT sits on ramps and jack stands with two covers on it until spring.

As a general rule, I don't drive them in the rain or snow. You may not see the rusting, but it is happening little my little. That said, we still get dry days occasionally over winter on the wet side of the Pacific Northwest, so I drive them all year. Just a lot less in winter than Spring-Summer-Fall.

The oil gets acidic when used as well.

I guess if I look a the positive side we rarely have to deal with any major floods, hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes (we just had a 3.9 but I didn`t even feel it), wildfires etc.
But you do have to deal with Massholes. I would take a hurricane any day over a Masshole.

If the tank is full = no room for moisture = no condensation = no rust. The Stabil (some kind of fuel stabilizer I’m not familiar with (I use SeaFoam)).
But it shouldn’t just be dumped in the fuel tank. It, ideally, should run through the lines and carb to do what it is intended to do.
I have been using SeaFoam for years. Up until summer last year Home Hardware would put a sale on around 6.99. This past fall they were at 11.99 same as Canadian Tires sale price.

I am a former Masshole :pbut moved away to New Hampshire 37 years ago and will never move back! I do have to deal with them coming across the border to buy alcohol, cigarettes (no sales tax here) and tourists and then I have to drive thru the state to go anywhere south. :BangHead:

I was a Masshole for 2 years when I worked at the Vermont Yankee Decommissioning. I chose to live in Greenfield Mass, vs Brattleboro VT. I chose being a Masshole over being a Crunchy Snowflake. I did make frequent trips to NH for smokes.

I know! It seems like every time I go to pick up a bottle, the price has gone up. A guy needs to buy it by the case when it’s on sale. I put it in everything from my 440 to my weed whacker.

I even put it in the vehicles that have been parked for years. Also snowblower, boat tanks, if it uses gas it gets it.

Like most I drive it till the first snow or ice storm fill the tank, add stens fuel treatment, hook up the charger, turn the battery off, and tuck it away in either my barn or garage depending on the other projects. Like Michigan Northeast Ohio is also the salt capital of the world. With a nice layer of salt and brine. Last year it was covered in my heated garage. This year covered in the non-heated but insulated front garage. I take it up and down the driveway about every month depending on the weather since I don't salt it. I can hit second gear before I have to stop so it at least all moves.
