I'm on my 114th car & like 16th truck now, most were 4wd...
Had a performance car, street/strip or a racecar
of some sort since I was 15 y/o 1974, now 50 years...
Not exactly a performance car, it's a
performance truck
Now my 1999 Dakota SLT 4x4 5.2ltr V8 Magnum
with a bunch of blot on stuff, 1.7:1 HS roller rockers
cat back Flowmaster 3" Delta 50 system
AEM swirl TB spacer/K&N gauze air-filter & 4" intake/airbox
Hypertech tuner, maybe 40+ HP/40lbft over stock now
really woke it up for driving in the mountains, elevation
bigger 32x11" Open Country Toyo Tires
performs well for what it is 4800+# midsize PU
bought it new at the old Motherload Motors, Now CDJR dealer
Nov 1999 will be 25 years in Nov.
Great sporty truck (now) probably keep it until I'm no longer here...
my current 68 RR RM23 HT, owned since Dec. 2005
19+ years a counting will be 20 years in Dec.
(I had several RRs at the same time this is my 13th 68-70 RR, 1 of 8 68s)
I got it from the 2nd owner, went & found the org. owners daughter
talked to her a bit, got some history
It "was" pretty much bone stock
a lil' rough, lots of dents & a crease
only 60k miles, it was rode hard put away wet nightly
by the old man, an old Carpenter's car
it's a real performance car today
shortly after I got it looked far better, no photos of when I got it
"it was fugly", but had serious potential, very lil' rust
like 6 years later & another house, in 2011
another 6 years later, color on it, now since 2017 to today
almost 20 years how time flies, still not done, probably never will be either
always messing with something
my F350 2002 4x4 7.3lt PS I owned from Nov. 2001 to Nov 2021, 20 years
traded in on my Gladiator Rubicon Launch Edition Limited
had a few mods too, tuner/chip, pipe/exhaust, bigger turbo & intercooler,
lil' bigger injectors, maybe 150 more HP like 200ftlbs more torque,
that stock for a tow rig
won't bore you with photos of that
