I would like to know how much I should expect to pay before I go out for quotes on getting a radiator rodded out. I'll be pulling the radiator and replacing it myself. Please shoot me some numbers.

Thanks FBBO

A hunski seems to be the going rate regardless of what part of the country you live in....or what decade you're living in, really. I've dropped a hundred bucks in the midwest in the 80s, same in AZ in the 90s a couple of times, and another hund-o once or twice in OR in the 00s. Same basic rod-out each time, different shops, obviously.
Variety may be the spice of life. But CONSISTENCY is the butter that makes life sliiide along so effortlessly.

I just made that last part up, use it any time you wish.

*****UPDATE*****

A-1 Radiator in Edmond, OK quoted free flow check and $90 to take apart, rod out, re-weld and paint. They also suggested I remove the thermostat, replace housing and fill engine with water then shoot air through top hose to flush out any loose stuff that may get clogged in the clean radiator then re-install the radiator.

Sounds right. I would replace your hoses and the thermostat, unless they are all newer. Hoses cant be more than $25 a piece. Thermo is around $12. It's like when I replace my water pump when I do the timing belt on my daily driver. To me, while I have everything taken apart, I might as well replace it since it is a wear item.

Everything else is new. You should have seen the crap in the water pump and housing. Looked like coral growing there. For about $100 more just I ordered a Champion 26 inch 3-row aluminum radiator. It will be here Tuesday. I may sell the stock radiator after I test the new one.
