I'm looking at buying a 1968 Charger, but it is missing the keys.
How would you go about solving that? Locksmith? Replace the cylinders?

Places like Classic Industries and Year one should have tumbler/key sets.
A local locksmith should be able to re-key the existing ignition/door/trunk locks.
I had my 67 Dart done local.

A lock guy can make keys without taking anything apart. Call around and find the guy,

I have a real good local locksmith that has done that for me. It didn't take her long either. And she just hates the new reproduction locks and cylinders, says they are cheap garbage.

Yes, I would try a skilled locksmith first before buying re-pop units. I removed the tumbler off my wife's 67 Fury wagon tailgate and had a key made. Works great.

Hint2elk is correct. Locksmiths can cut keys for locks. It “might” take 2-3 blanks to get it right, but it looks easy (I had an Oldsmobile like that). Maybe ask them if they have Mopar blank keys in stock when you call around?
