Recently purchased a 70 RR with the Rally Dash. Need to remove the gauges....a couple are not working correctly. Shop manual only shows/lists the steps for removal of a "standard" dash. Could someone list all the steps to remove the Rally gauges and maybe any tips/tricks in doing so?
Car also has console floor shift (auto) and factory A/C....
Thanks

Disconnect the battery & remove the radio bezel. Disconnect all electrical plugs, speedo cable & volt meter nuts from the back, remove the 5 or 6 screws holding the dash cluster in and pull the whole cluster out. The bezel is held on from behind & next, the lens has to come out. Once that's removed the gauges can be removed. Piece of cake if you're under 35, but working under a dash really sucks the older you get.

You need to drop the steering column down before you pull the instrument cluster out (loosen 4 bolts on firewall and remove 3 under dash).
The only one you need to unplug first is the speedo cable, the rest you can unplug as it's coming out, get the left side out first and start unplugging lights, dimmer ect and work your way over. I've never had to remove the radio bezel but see how it goes on yours.
Not that hard at all, good luck.

All of the above, including removing of Radio bezel because you need to take it out and put it back in an angle. I pulled the seat out for easier access getting under to disconnect and reconnecting when it goes back in., makes it much easier for people who are not contortionist (4 bolts for Bucket seats). I also taped a towel on the steering column to protect it from getting scratched. When you get it out take all the screws out of the back which hold the bezel on button pins that hold the lenses in place can be pushed out gently to allow access to gauges and lense cleaning.
