Howards Solid Roller

Has anyone have experience with a Howards Solid Roller for a 440 Indy head Street Car?

I’m currently running a Howards solid roller, 263*/269* @ .050 custom grind, with Howards lifters and PAC springs from them. Luke was great to work with.
It’s in a 400/468”. 11:1, TF 270 heads, 4150 carb on an Indy 400-2. I think it’s making about 650hp.

2 seasons on it and I’m happy.

My bad. Didn’t see the P# first time around.

Those are pretty short duration numbers. Not sure it would make much use of decent heads.

Not looking for max power anymore, converting my solid roller 512 to a more civilized setup to run on the street. Don't want to buy new everything to switch back to a hydraulic roller. Just looking for a more streetable solid roller. This is the smallest duration I have found from them off the shelf.

Does that carb and intake clear a factory hood?

And then what will you do with that information? Sounds like validation.

If you were not looking for validation you would put the cam in and go, not posting to see if anyone has used it.

It’s tight! But it does fit under the stock hood on this car. Air cleaner does actually touch the hood.
