I have a 1969 Super Bee that originally had a 383ci 4bbl with a 4spd trans. The engine/trans for my car are long gone. I have located a 1968 Plymouth Sport Fury with an HP 383ci 4bbl and an automatic trans. I plan to put the engine in my Bee but I was wondering how much difference is this engine compared to what was originally in my Bee? I would like to make it as close to what should have been in it.
Besides the simple, no-brainer stuff like the engine color and exhaust manifolds, what else should be changed out? Are the camshafts different? I do have a 4spd out of a '69 Charger that I plan to use. Will I need to change out anything going from an auto to a 4spd? Thanks for your help guys!
