Lol, can u buy an Ar-15 in Ca.??? I know, the old upper body just can’t handle it anymore. Have the same problem!Didn’t know we could do that on the site. I have a Remington 7mm Magnum in pristine condition that I’ve owned since new in the 80’s. My elk/antelope hunting rifle from my Colorado decade. Thinking of selling it. I actually still have the receipt of purchase. I’m going to fast forward my noodling. Tough decision - but my hunting days are likely over.
In CA it’s mostly people hunting.
I’d rather something bigger for grizzlies. Nice round though.I really like my .270 Winchester 70 XTR,
I bought when living in Alaska in the mid 80's

Excellent rifle. The .270 doesnt always get the recognition the trendy rounds get. It's in my top 5.I really like my .270 Winchester 70 XTR,

If one is a very accurate shot and has an accurate rifle why would people need magnums in North America? Weatherby’s nephew was on a flight with my brother many years ago. Uncle offered all his nephews rifles. Anyway this nephew shot a trophy moose with a Remington BDL 30-06.Excellent rifle. The .270 doesnt always get the recognition the trendy rounds get. Honestly - I’m not sure. I think you can but they are now in the midst of making it illegal to own some of the normal integral parts to the AR-15. They’re trying to render them as useless as possible.Lol, can u buy an Ar-15 in Ca.??? I know, the old upper body just can’t handle it anymore. Have the same problem!
I'm interested but too far away. My dad had one of the most beautiful 7mm mags I've ever seen, loved that gun but he's gone and so is the gun and never been able to find one that looked as good as his did.Where are you located?
Keep in mind as you look for a rifle think availability of ammo in your area too. Around here there is zero 32 special and believe it or not very little 30-30! A Brush gun, close range the Ruger 44 mag carbine is fantastic for that. That ammo I can find! Not tons but enough. Good luck!Brush gun, new houses going up on my hunting land. Can't use the 300 win mag anymore.
Looking for a lever action 32 special. 30/30 Savage Winchester Marlin. Consider a capable revolver also.
That's exactly what I am retiring in the 300 win mag. I bought new back in the 70's. I put a 4 power Lupold on it back then with a dot in the middle no cross hairs. Shot it in back then and never had to ever shoot it in again.I really like my .270 Winchester 70 XTR,
