I'm sure that a lot of you recall that I bought a new Peterbilt this spring.

Well, I have been having a lot of "check engine" issues with the Pete. The dealer tried, unsuccessfully to fix it three times. They seem to think that the problem is a pinhole in the wiring...SOMEWHERE!! After numerous arguments with Paccar, they agreed to buy me out in full and put me in a 2019 W-900L. This truck is a BEAST!!!

Excellent!

Pictures of the cabin/interior? How about some info on the engine and transmission? Thanks in advance!

Sweet rig!
Looks like you got some serous lot lizard space in that sleeper, too

Man the last Kenworth I drove was a 97 ish model. That is sweet how does she drive ? I would tell them you want reimbursement for all the down time they caused you! Or at least some of those spikes for the lug nuts for free!!!

Much better looking rig IMHO. Always have liked Kenworth and Diamond Rio rigs for their looks. Although the fuel economy is probably less?

Flash back to 1968....I drove K Woppers at American Can Co. for 6 years from 68 -74.
Occasionally they would have me in a cab over freightliner for a week or so, what a huge difference.

I told you Paccars are problematic!

What's the KW got under the hood?

nice rig. we run Freightliners. 85 of them to be exact. we have ran several fleets of KW's over the years just not a fan of the Paccar or Cummins engines. My dads favorite saying is We quit trucking for fun years ago. still a sweet rig.

Love it . . . what an incredible ride . . . now you're riding in STYLE ! ! !

Thank you for all of the kind comments. The Kenworth is definitely as sweet as it gets.
It has the 565 Cummins, 18 speed OD transmission and 3.35 rears. 86 inch Studio Sleeper with all of the bells and whistles.
290 inch stretched frame which provides for a real smooth ride.

I am lucky that I got them to buy me out of the Pete. I did get some cool custom floor mats for free.

Yes, almost 2 MPG difference so far. I think that I have to learn to be a little lighter on the right foot. :steering:

Thanks Larry, but now I treat my rig like I treat my 63. I am afraid to park it anywhere and constantly want to wash it.
