I might take this out for a spin tomorrow, what do you all think?

You're making some great progress....keep it up.

We got the steering wheel in! We had to use parts from 3 different steering columns, but we got it! I love that it's green, it doesn't match the car at all!

...but does the AC work ?

:poke:

He's trying to build a housing for the right side rear tail light since we have the bumpers on, (more pictures on the way with updates)

It's not going as well as we hoped :bs:

Absolutely the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, it's amazing how good it looks considering what my friends and I started with!

We have to put together the interior, fix the water pump leaks, figure out why it's not pulling fuel and finish putting in the tail lights, but I'll be able to get it registered soon! I need to hurry up with the artwork

I just stumbled on to this splendid thread, and I have to say that I just love this approach. A huge challenge made fun and informative, and right under the overhang. I love the green steering wheel, I hope it stays the only thing green in the car, just for the fun of it. Keep up the good work, and the great entertainment.

Thank you!

Does anyone have a right tail light housing?? I'm trying to build one out of an old cassette case.... I can probably do it but the car really deserves a proper housing. Spooky how well this car came together. 64K original miles!

Still fighting fuel delivery issues. The pick up in the tank is clogged so we've been running it off a gas can... but at least it's running and driving! Not far, though... maybe 10 ft. in either direction? That does not qualify it as a "spin"

But soon! And there will be a video, maybe I'll be the one driving it...

I too, just came upon this thread and am glad I did. I am very familiar with the 73/74 RR's and how they can be brought back to life. Some restored to near perfection and others to be a fun driver, and still others to be a fun project. It is the FUN part that, at times, is hard to keep going. You truly seem to be having fun with this. Keep up that attitude and your work will show it. By the way, your art work is just plain awesome, and I look forward to seeing it on the car!!! Keep it real, but keep it fun.
