I NEED YOUR SERVICES ! Lodi Calif.

Very nice, Twisted Orange will fit right in your garage... I hope the other Ponies don't mine. Good Luck.......

Hey! Good timing. I am leaving San Jose in an hour or so to head a few hours north of Lodi to watch my nephew play football then back early Sunday in time for the giants game 6. If nobody else is nearby I may be able to take a look. I will pm you my cell #. See if the guy is available today around noon or a little before then. Let me know any specifics you want looked at.

wowwwwwwwww.......fast response guys,,,,,wow ! i am at the mercy of him answering his ebay email. and he hasnt got back to me as of yet.

i have a few questions for the guy before i send anyone there to look at it to even see if it will be a waste of time or not. i got 68sportsatellite message and number...ill keep it in my phone...you guys are theeeeee best. ill keep ya posted ! thank you!

72 Javelin SST $6500 for a Calif. car, 3rd owner, less than 70k miles {not sure ??????}, sounds like a decent deal for the money, it looks ok in the photos, the only real downside is the base type 304ci, at least it's a V8, then also having to ship it back to Penn., added $$$ cost... I do like orange allot better than Canary Yellow myself & it's a Calif. A/C car, both pluses... good luck

yeah....68 sportsatellite is gonna look at it tomorrow for me. i just got off the phone with him. not too happy about a 304...but like ya said, its a v8...and i got a car that will snap my neck.......so..... well see. i gotta look into shipping it to Pittsburgh......that might just be the deal breaker. anyone got a carrier they use that they like? let me know please!

anyone bought a car on ebay that was far away?..how do you trust the other person? this will be a 1st for me and any comments are welcome! thanx !

I bought mine through eBay and had it shipped from Illinois. The seller offered his phone number at home and at his shop, answered email within the hour... I just sensed he was genuine and trustworthy. Of course, con men are good at that too, so who's to say. You gotta go with your gut. In my case, the seller was so honest that when I found serious frame rust at the K-member about three weeks after the sale, I told him and he paid for the fix because he'd missed it.

But I know that for every story like mine, there are probably five more that go in a completely different direction and end badly.

THAT IS A SWEET RIDE!!! Definately a looker!

On a side note, the only reason I know of Lodi is from Sons of Anarchy.... LOL!!!!

I paid close to $1,700 shipping from the coast of Delaware to Spanaway, Washington with Road Angels for my 1970 Roadrunner this past June. Pretty good deal I think for literally cross - country. Just search auto transport on whatever search engine you have and whole lot of auto transport companies you can chose from with different deals. Oh, and btw I did buy my Roadrunner on ebay and hope this works well for you.

Good news...im the proud owner of a 1972 javelin. 68sportsatellite is with the car now and he gives it a good bill of health. Shipping from cali to pa. Will be around 800.00 not too bad ! Just wanted to share the excitement !

i want to publically thank Dwayne (68 SS) for looking at the car and checking it out for me and taking the time out of his schedule to do this for me....i truely appreciate his efforts and all turned out well because the car will be on its way home soon! thank you 68SportSatellite!:headbang::headbang::headbang:

Who did you decide to ship with? That is an excellent price, I'm assuming open trailer. The best price I got was around 1200.

well...i didnt book a carrier as of yet. the car naturally has to be paid for before the owner lets it on a truck. im looking at Mercury carriers and Honest Auto Transfer. car will be coming from Lodi Calif to Eighty Four Pa. ( 25 mi. south of pittsburgh) and yes its an open trailer.

When you get it and if you decide to swap the wheels put me 1st in line for the slots.Looks nice by the way.

ok thanks I'll check them out. I bought a car in ca and am in pa as well. I'm still looking at shippers. I am not as brave as you are though to put it on an open trailer.

No problem man! It was good fortune that I was passing right through there. I only get up that way twice a year. What are the chances huh? That car looks great inside and out. The seller seemed to be a real straight shooter and a total mopar nut. We talked for more than an hour after I checked out the car. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Except for the open trailer shipping! Have you ever watched them load and secure a car on one of those things? I did last year. My buddy was moving and had his Honda shipped. After watching that I would never ship my car like that. It will probably get there ok, but man oh man they chain it front and rear over the axles or frame and REALLY crank down on that sucker! So much so that the springs were fully compressed and the body was lowered easily several inches. Then they lifted the ramp and clamped down more several times. I know that keeps it secure but full compression to the bump stops can't be good for a long ride like that can it? They are really pressed for time too and move pretty fast. Not much care for one car over another. Just get em on and get goin, although full time for the guy I saw from time he pulled up until he left was a good hour. Plenty of time for me to wince and cringe several times when the upper ramp almost hit the roof of my buddies car due to the front and rear split ramp angles.

Not trying to scare you, but just say'in!

im not scared....( yeah right)....im sure those guys know what theyre doing hopefully and the car dont arrive with a dented roof. if it does, they are insured and i have 2 of the MEANEST lawyers going. yes id rather have it on a closed trailer but that would cost as much as the car did and ,,,,well you know ! i trust your judgement Dwayne and i have every confidence that the car will arrive here just as you described. they ship brand new cars like that everyday..and i worked at a dealership back in the 90's ,,and none came in damaged. thank you once again for doing this and offering your services. i feel much better now about buying the car! thank you!

I've had 3 cars shipped across the country by Intercity Lines and didn't experience any of the scarey moments you describe. The drivers were very professional, went over the cars inch by inch and noted any imperfections on the lading bill. They all took a lot of care in loading, unloading and securing the cars. These guys haul a lot of super high dollar cars and their reputation is everything. Coast to coast on an open truck was $1200. and in an enclosed trailer $1800.00. Good luck.

Wow, this is really a cool story! Congrats Dawg on the nice new ride.
