i have made a custom dash for my 67 coronet.now i have a bit of a problem.ineed to connect 6 power leads to one wire and 6 light leads to another wire.anyone have any ideas of a clean way to do this?thought about a fuse pannel, but it seems a bit much, and i dont want to just tie all the wires together.

You know what I'd do? Solder them all together into one big junction just like Chrysler did it. Of all the Mopars I have ever worked on, to this day I have YET to see one of those soldered factory junctions corroded or coming apart or melted. They just never gave any trouble. Now the firewall connector....that's a different story.

How about a marine grade or insulated Bus Bar?
been trying to find a buss bar,but have had no luck.never tought to try marine or rv applications thanx for the idea.
thanx for the idea rusty, but trying to make as clean as possible.i already have the firewall handled.

I have. Found my first "no1 splice" in a parking lot of my or melted. They just never gave any trouble. Now the firewall connector....that's a different story buddies RR in about 1970-71. Since then I've run across at least 6 more, and that has only been happenchance. I ain't a pro auto electric mechanic.

But that probably IS the best way -- IF you know how to properly solder, and use head shrink. That many, at a time, though, is getting a little much. If these are small, no 18 or smaller, you might get by, But over no18, I'd solder two at a time, with a third short pigtail. When you get done, you'll have three sets of shrinked joints, with 3 pigtails. Then finish off by soldering and shrinking the pigtails.

Otherwise, consider terminal strips. there are hundreds, if not thousands of strips available.
