If you were to leave the USA what country would you emigrate to?

Let's say you finally got fed up, where would you go? I watched a show called Wild Romania. The Carpathian Mountains looked appealing, the cost of living, etc.

The way things are going we are all going to be leaving if things don't change in November. It might be time to start considering where we might want to go!

I vote for Scotland also. UK not a member of EU. Spent several months in Holy Loch during enlistment in Navy. Winters not too cold 30-40, summers 70-80. Beautiful country side and folks speak english, kind of.

Scotland would certainly be on a short list. But being from Minnesota. Probably Canada.

My ancestors are from Germany, Sweden, and Norway. Germany is almost as bad as the US policy wise right now, and might be in worse shape. Sweden I fear is half full of crazy people, but I would want to check it out. Norway's countryside is extremely similar climate and atmosphere to where I live now.

Germanic tribe ancestry in the northern part of Europe has never been conquered.

People should not kid themselves though, there is no running away from what is intended for all of us, that's why it is a globalist agenda. This isn't the middle ages where there is a new continent to explore and settle, or even pre-civil war with the western frontier to leave "civilization" behind and start anew. Besides the bottom of the ocean or the moon or something, there is no frontier, no place to run away from this. No convoy of covered wagons to go start a new city!

So I wouldn't run. But if I had to I would go to the most geographic historic stronghold region in history, where my ancestors are from, where the very concept of social responsibility and personal accountability were born. There at least, no one would run away.

Philippines. My brother lives there. If I could have a Mopar b body there I'd already move over there.

Excellent health care that's so cheap it's almost free. Low cost of living.

My wife and I are considering buying a cheap condo there for our "medical tourism".

Send us a postcard when you get there. :praying:

If they can do it why can't we?

Aren't they a US "Protectorate"?

...or at least used to be with a continued very close relationship.

All these votes for Scotland...summer lasts about a week, it rains a lot, the roads are not really suitable for a classic Mopar (narrow and twisty), and petrol prices are UK prices (i.e. very expensive).
The average maximum summer temperature is 63°F, if it gets to 80 then everyone lies down and thinks they're dying.
The last time I was in Edinburgh for New Year it was 1.4°F, which was pretty cold.
Agreed it's a beautiful place and I love the Highlands, but as a place to live as a Mopar owner - no thanks.

My best answer to your question is they have a very limited entitlement society. Children in poverty do indeed have starvation and some die young due to no health care. They don't give away free heath care and pretty much only people who work have food, health care, and shelter.

Another reason is the amount of lawyers allowed to practice is limited by the government. The BAR is almost impossible to pass, and the government wants to keep it that way. Litigation in the Philippines is also limited by the judges. This keeps malpractice impact low.

The entitlement society we have in this country has a large cost. The quality of healthcare is declining while the price is increasing. As much as I hate to admit it, half *** socialism hurts the working man more than full blown socialism. We are a compassionate country and we want to provide for people in poverty. The problem is that what everyone considers "free" has no thoughts about how it can be funded.

But they are basically "protected" by the US?

Why are you asking? JMO, this might be better suited in the PF, unless I missed the gist. I’m not comfy chiming in under the GD. Though will say surveys of some mentioned nations above, reveal a hell of a lot of 'happy' with their citizens, even running so contrary with what we like here. I'm holding onto the USA being the best place to be - regardless...we have a TON of stuff to be proud of and a whole lot of our people gave their lives to make it so.
