If you were to leave the USA what country would you emigrate to?

Scotland? Nope. Massive drug issues, terrible weather, less than average food. OK haggis is nice for a novelty. Whiskey is good too, but you can get better from Japan now days.
New Zealand is awesome, but the cost of living is high.
Australia is good except the cost of living is also high and everything wants to kill you and its hot as hell.
Europe is not great due to mass immigration issues and lots of different languages to master. Not to mention the cultural differences in places like Italy and Spain are a bit to much to overcome, especially for boomers and Gen Xers.
UK also has immigration issues and the weather sucks
Hmmmm, USA is looking pretty attractive from where I sit.

Scotland, went for a couple weeks in May, (1st time visiting) found the house and farm that my great grandfather built and where my grandfather lived before he came here in in 1921 and the family cemetery.
What a beautiful country

El Salvador
Bukele has straightened that place out. Good friend of mine is from there and goes back often now. He talks about how nice it is now.
It sure is safer there than Baltimore

Philippines. My brother lives there. If I could have a Mopar b body there I'd already move over there.

Excellent health care that's so cheap it's almost free. Low cost of living.

My wife and I are considering buying a cheap condo there for our "medical tourism".
As a rule they get you some how, usually high taxes. People want to retire in states with no income tax but they get you in property taxes. No free ride.

I was just there for a couple weeks. Around Manila no thanks.

With project cars I find it's better to work with what you have and face issues head on. You buy a new project car there are always hidden issues you have to deal with. Part of the reason I don't buy engines that someone else has "rebuilt" either..

Just like the last couple of times, I'd go wherever it's easiest to change my name and identity and then come back.

Interesting. Why not owning an old car there?

I know someone who shipped several B bodies over there a few years back in prep for his retirement ( his wife was born there )

I know this thread is ( pick a country ) but for me the midwest of the USA is pretty damn hard to beat for quality of life.
If I ever had to move it would be Canada.

Having been all over the World and seen and lived in so many of them with my USAF career, there is only one country for me!!! The USA!!! Remember the grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence, but it can quickly turn to dirt and SH-T once there. The PI was mentioned. Nope...never for me as I am not very comfortable in humid climates, nor cold and snow. So for me, there ain't no better place on this earth than right here in America!!! Besides, I'm too damn old to even contemplate moving a great distance...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

The average speed in the city of Cebu is 12mph due to constant traffic. A fender bender with a uninsured motorist is a daily occurrence. If you hit a scooter driver and not even injured your required to support them for life. Any car ownership there is not pleasant. I suppose I just look at the road runner in the garage.
