No way you want a 1/8" pipe plug hole wide open. That's a HUGE internal leak. If you want to lube that area drill a .020" hole in the plug.

Valley won't fill up. Heads may fill some. The problem is more volume is flowing through the push rods due to less restriction. This shows as lower pressure. Higher restriction = higher pressure. However low pressure really isn't the issue, it's the byproduct. The issue is lack of flow to the main/rod bearings. There is only so much flow volume. Extra flow volume to the wrong area robs volume of flow where it is needed. In my opinion you won't regret the smaller orifice push rods, it fixed mine.
