Insurance for 2017 Challenger T/A 5.7L

Good folks of FBBO, I am considering buying this Challenger and was wondering what y'all pay for insurance and where the best place would be to get it. The vehicle will live in Texas and be driven very rarely. I seem to remember you can get some type of weekend driver insurance. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

The days of 'pleasure only' auto insurance are gone. American Collectors has a fairly mileage restricted policy, but I do not think the new Challenger would qualify.

It does with Grundy collectors insurance no mileage restriction but it is classified as a pleasure/ weekend driver. Plus if you have collectors insurance they offer a discounted rates for your daily drivers I have about 200k on 4 cars full coverage for 2100 year no one else can come close villa smathers is my agent on the west side of michigan she underwriter for Grundy in Michigan ohio Illinois and florida

That's really not bad for a car that powerful. Not much more than my wife's new RAV4.

FYI, you can opt for different types of coverage with American Collectors that allow you more mileage. Costs a little more, of course, but not bad. My Coronet would have been a couple hundred a year under their restrictive policy but I pay $340/yr to allow me to drive it more than to "just shows."
