Intake Manifold Height

Currently have a 383 with a Weiand 8008 intake and want to move to an Eddy RPM.

I don't have a lot of hood clearance and was wondering if anyone knew how much taller the Eddy Intake carb mount surface is over the 8008.

According to Summit racing the Weiand is 4.00”, RPM is 5.350”

I don't really trust those numbers. I've seen that and some other sites it's different.

Is this an A body or B body?
B body has plenty.
A body will be closer.

They do make drop bases for the Air Cleaner.

On my 440 69 valiant on stock mounts and a Demon 850 and that intake,
I had to use a 65 to 67 Big Block Corvette with an extreme
drop base to get it under the hood with a 2 inch element and it
was still CLOSE!!!

If it is a b body, it will be fine with a 3 inch element and a well
chosen air cleaner bottom.

The 383 is a help over the 440 by a bit as well.
