Best Suggestion you can get in this matter, is Check your Dash Vin to the Fender Tag, then go to the trunk open it and remove the weatherstriping on the lower part of the trunk and match up your numbers first. Thats some money $$$, then make sure you, your frame rails are solid be sure on that point, move onto the wheel wells and rockers. Its gonna be rusty, somewhere maybe around the window corners maybe not. Take your time, Check your metal prices for the panels and have a place to build it. Good Luck

If it's under a grand, just buy the damn thing. Or better yet tell me where it is and I'll buy it. For that much money, you could easily part it out and make your money back, if you can not get a title.

If you have a lot of time and money.. I have a 69 RR in my garage right now that was in about same condition. I'm already in about 3000.00 in AMD sheet metal. Probably 2 or maybe more grand in supplies so far. Odds and ends parts/missing parts at least 3k. And about 10k of my time over 3 yrs so far and only half done. Its truly a labor of love. Its just about as cheap to buy a restored one really.

Youve said it, Im two years in and have spent 7,000.00 and a bit more and havent done filler and interior, got to love the cars....

If you buy it don't alter it in anyway other than general cleaning or buy parts until you get a clear title. If you stand a chance loosing it during a title search or inspection you have at least kept the expense at a minimum.

For $1k, hell yea! Make sure you can grt a title but go look and take pictures. I would buy it and put it in my front yard to start my abandoned cars in the desert themed yard

I say buy it. One more saved. Work on the title deal & try to get a new title issued for it (if possible). Here in Michigan, that is a car worth restoring for sure.

If you can eventually get a title for it, the value/price of the car goes up quite a bit. Just look around on craigslist or other places and see the asking price difference of cars and motorcycles with and without titles. It's a large gap because people know how much of a hassle it is to get a title in most states.

Extra fenders/bumpers/solid floors and under 1k!!! I'll give you 2K if you have your doubts just after you have bought it.
