Could be. Looks like it has the right wheels/stacks/wood, etc
Don't know truck VINs, though.

79 isn't as valuable as 78 because 78 trucks didn't have to meet pass car emissions and 79 did. ...also 78 hood is cooler, but I do like the square headlights of 79.

Have seen nice 78's go for less than 10K too.

I had a 79. Looks legit to me,l chrome valve covers and all. The radio delete is interesting. A website http://www.lilreddad.com/Misc.html said the vin would be D13JS9S------, so it is legit according to that website. Wish I still had mine.
