Is this worth saving at this point?

Unless you have a personal connection to this car or really love drilling spotwelds, I think you should part it out and buy something more solid. In the long run you will be better off!

X2!

I took on a project recently similar in nature to yours but in better condition.
Is it a car you want to save is the question. Do you want a driver or show car?

It has some major issues, but where there is a will there is a way... There is a lot more work to that car than what I had I think. All of my frame was good as well as the rockers and the front clip and inners on the rear quarters. You need it all it looks like and unless it has a really rare or big dollar fender tag/options it might not be worth it to someone else what you put into it. SO you might not get your money back from it.

My guess would be about 8k or so in sheet metal, maybe a little more. Hundreds of man hours.... maybe even a thousand ?

If the car doesn't have sentimental value I might be tempted to part it out at this point but I for one can understand a dream or a need or feeling of wanting to resurrect a fine old mopar... most people told me I was crazy to. Go look for my thread to see what I've done and the heartbreaks and triumphs...LOL b ut it will give you a taste of what your in for with a low budget and you doing the work.

When I went looking for my 69 I had one thing that it had to be... driveable! I didn't mind a project but it at least had to be able to move and be legal. just my personal preference plus I had only space for a working car lol

I paid 10k for a car with little rust and is a 25 ft'r but she smokes the tires:) I will put another 20-30k into it over the long haul but I don't care it's mine I love it and it will stay in my family for the next 30 years. and it still wont be numbers matching or code correct! lmao

Cut your loses and find what fires your pistons it's out there just get up and get out looking for it. that's an order!

Both my 3rd gen Chargers need both quarters.

One has some rare options, and the other was bought cheap with the intent of learing how to replace quarters specifically.

I am always on the lookout for a good deal on a car with quarters that are not rusty.
...and now I have a shop full of parts to transplant if that happens.
