How much does this engine worth.

Ooof. Engine extractions from vans and motorhomes is a pisser. I pulled a 440 from a Winnebago/Pace Arrow type beast in 2007.
On gravel.
Sheets of plywood on the gravel, the wheels of my engine hoist punching through as I pulled the engine out.
Good thing the engine was free. It was not fun to remove.
Thanks ill seat next to the mechanics when they pull the engine out and enjoy that am not doing it  .

Hey @ coronet68mx
I've had 440 vans and the easy way to pull the motor is through the passenger door.
Pull transmission, take off exhaust manifolds, (carburator to lower overall height) and remove front seat. It will come right out through the hole. I did it with door on.
That RV is never seeing the road again so you could destroy everything in the front to pull out forward, but it is acually more work

Sometimes with van engines that are loaded up with A/C and other stuff, the top of the engine is really cluttered. The late 70s vacuum amplifiers, hoses, all that other stuff can obscure the view of the raised pad that RB engines have. Maybe climbing underneath to look at a casting number makes a lot more sense.
With all the 'loaded' up stuff, it's still not that hard to find if there's an info pad on the RB blocks. Yeah, ya gotta dig but if I can do it, so can you or anyone else.

We either learn and get better or we stay stupid.
I don't want to be that guy.
