I've been overhauled

Wow, the house looks great - that's some friend you have. But that's what good friends are all about - you just dive in and help and don't worry about who owes who what.

...although Barry is going to owe me for all this GTX work... :D

all I really wanted is my fence fixed and a yard cleanup......

and guess what? ......... the fence isn't fixed and the yard is still a mess!

first world problems....

Dude: if your yard was cleaned up your "inspector" would make it a mess pretty quickly anyway, chewing sticks, taking dumps, etc. :poke:

it's never really about the money for me. I mean, we all need enough to exist and be comfortable; but if I hit the lottery tomorrow, I doubt I'd make any drastic changes

"but if I hit the lottery tomorrow, I doubt I'd make any drastic changes:

Pphhhttttt......sure.

Seriously though, friends like yours make life great!
Even if it is Jersey.

And I'm not showing this to the wife, she doesn't need any more ideas. I got rid of cable so she would stop watching all those remodeling shows.

Place looks great!

I really like the color change.
Looks like a very nice job.
This june I'm cutting back on hrs per week also.

bow window was a pricey freebie, I ordered 2 custom pieces to match and fill in the sides......

update.......I wanted to deal with the window myself, as it's a total custom job

as said, the bow window is a Pella and was a freebie; I've seen comparable windows for 1800 and up.....

downside is it's 6 foot wide, and I have a 8 foot wide hole in a brick wall...... time for a miracle

I had ordered two 12" x 46.5" double pane "fillers" for the sides....... I had zero idea what they would look like or what exactly I was getting, I didn't even remove them from the boxes until a few weeks ago

like a car, I had no issues cutting unneeded material from the sides of that 2000 dollar window lol

fast forward to today........I still need to finish the top, I have to borrow my buddy's 12 foot step ladder for that....... should be pretty simple; but again, no plan lol......... I'll make it match the garage door and the other windows; with a twist, I'm sure

so totally winging it , and making some of the trim from the scrap pile, I think I pulled it off pretty good......

wife has granted me "hero status", but not happy about trampling her flowers........

no, I didn't pee on the bricks.....that's a wet spot from the garden hose

wife had painted birds on the inside of this window a while back....... she's cool like that

still got some tasty caulking to do between the wood and the bricks...... just like a car, it's never really finished

(white paint on the edges of the glass is old and on the inside, I'll get it)

I like the bay window, but if it were me...I'd either paint the upper trim green to match the lower, or (my preference) paint the lower trim beige to match the rest of the house trim. The one-green-one-beige looks....off.

Great looking, though - improvements look amazing. Nice work. Time to have the buddy and his crew over, for a cookout and some beers!

I need to box it in, up to the overhang..... to keep the water off

I may not get back to it for a month, but I was so giddy upon making it all work, I couldn't wait to show someone
