I've been overhauled

Got to appreciate the guys who remember you were there for them when they needed something...

This gentleman took that a step further, you didn't have to ask....
Cool beans!! Problem is too many didn't remember who they borrowed tools from and there were many and they went by the wayside when the 'free tool loan door' was closed.
I’m with #9 post. It‘s great to have friends with whom you can trade skill sets and no one keeps score. They’re usually the guys you grew up with. None of those around here but plenty in my hometown of Mpls.
Most of the good guys I grew up with moved away from the 'big' city once it started to overtake us and their wives were on board with them!
"but if I hit the lottery tomorrow, I doubt I'd make any drastic changes:

Pphhhttttt......sure.

Seriously though, friends like yours make life great!
Even if it is Jersey.

And I'm not showing this to the wife, she doesn't need any more ideas. I got rid of cable so she would stop watching all those remodeling shows.

Place looks great!
I feel the same way about the lottery. Wouldn't know how to live the high life anyways and at this point in my life wouldn't even try.....but would pay off my daughter's college bill at least......
still got some tasty caulking to do between the wood and the bricks...... just like a car, it's never really finished

(white paint on the edges of the glass is old and on the inside, I'll get it)
I know the feeling! Everything I own isn't finished. Hope to get to at least some of it before it's 'over' lol......

gotta love using the porta power......might be a little hillbilly, but makes for an excellent helper

the sides were the only thing holding it together, but they needed to go; so I braced it up like a convertible

have to borrow my buddy's 12 foot step ladder for that....... should be pretty simple; but again, no plan lol.........

isn't there a guy on here that's pretty handy with a ladder and house repair?
Maybe he can come by and help. Although California is quite a commute....

Be careful

maybe he can talk me through it from 3000 miles away :D

Hey....next week is my next x ray and exam. I'm hoping they will clear me to resume the heavier work. I've been doing painting and some car stuff.
You know that I'd always be willing to help a buddy though.

BE VERY CAREFUL THERE @Kern Dog, if Mark offers the Atco Hotel or The Park Lane as lodging, BACK OUT, FAST!!!

just wait till I bust out the cherry picker to extract a few fence posts
I've done that, it works well.... But honestly a bumper jack works better... Nail a 2x4 scrap to the post & put the jack hook under it...

you've been there? :poke:
My 1st cousin lived by Atco raceway in the early 80's in some development by a lake. Elmville? Elmhurst? Something like that.
We were in our early 20's and remember the "cocktail lounge".

Strange things happened after 3am.
Haven't been in that area since.

I caught something there, mostly a bad hangover. Memory is a little fuzzy.

Now tell me honestly, that Jersey Devil thing is just a myth.
Right?
