Jay Leno, just a good guy

Leno has come to the aide of the firefighters around LA, by getting them hot meals. After crashing in the Hemi under Glass, then catching a cable across a drive on his bike, then almost burning himself up working on a steam car, and finally falling down a large hill almost taking himself out, he might be running out of lives.
But here he is taking care of the firefighters showing it's hard to keep a good man down.

in a place/demographic where there's not very many of them,
not anywhere like him, he's a very generous & giving man at times too...

I've been a fan for a long time; that's a genuine dude right there.
From recent interviews he's given and his own channel, it appears his life these days is doing
road gigs (less often than he used to), making videos for his channel and others' interviews -
and taking care of his wife Mavis, who he cooks for every night (she is suffering advanced dementia).

Things have even slowed down some at his shop - I saw him tell a guest recently that he wasn't
real busy these days and enjoyed having visitors, which hasn't always been the case.
He seems to have healed up from his most recent accidents and I bet he's enjoying getting out
of the house to pitch in for those emergency responders.
He jokes about $21k worth of chicken and ribs being gone "poof" with a smile.
I believe Mr. Leno has hit that sweet stride these days.

I remember seeing Jay at the spring fling in his Doble (steam car). Dang that thing was quiet!

I agree Jay is an awesome guy, very much a real car guy...

January 9th of last year.... One of the few times when I was the tallest guy in the room...

I'd seen him a Spring Fling a few times & got to sit in the live audience for "The Tonight Show" back in 2001... But actually getting a chance to see meet him on his turf & his Warehouses was pretty special...
