Jeff's 69 road runner

Great work! I like that you are even painting the battery tray to match.
as far as I know, the battery trays were all car color. I have done it both ways. black and car color. but I really like it in car color better. to me it just seems "correct", if there really is such a thing. the best part of doing it like this is that the tray and arm supports are much better sealed against the effects of battery out gassing (toxic to paint finishes). and the effect of cleaning the engine bay with water and getting the oxidation into the areas you really cant get to, to dry out well enough. thanks for watching this thread. the comments always keeps me moving toward an end. mo-tiv-a-shun!!!!!!!!!!!!postcar.......

Ain't that pretty

Purdy! That dash came out beautiful too. Nice work!

thanks 747mopar. I have a few pet peeves with a car that has been worked on to this extent. one is the door jambs and the other is the dash. if the doors and jambs look bad, and I see it, I just move along to the next car in the show. the dash is the same. you know, picky picky picky. even if the rest of the car is good, it is a deal breaker for me.

Momma had to have a new ride. how could I resist

that's why I keep my doors closed....:toothy9: my primered beauty saw it's only show last year....until it gets some of that green stuff like yours.

yeah, if the doors are closed I aint going to open them up. that may constitute a serious a%% woopin'. but you cant hide the dash. lol.

Hey everyone, I am in serious need of a nice nice deck lid. Any help in this would be great. I have a WTB up but no hits. I can repair this one but I think the car really deserves a nice deck lid.

Looks like one of those "know how to pick your battles". IMO, I'd try to find a more decent deck lid instead of trying to repair that one. 1) the interior framing is shot on that lower half. 2) Obviously the lower outer skin is shot. Not saying it couldn't be done, but it would be a pretty challenging & time consuming task, especially trying to recreate to proper roll to the bottom lip (considering the inner framing is gone/rotted bad), as well as the slight body line peak in the middle of the lid. Finding a decent donor isn't too bad to do or too deep on the pockets either. I could see something like that taking at least 300-400 hours before ready for paint. Good luck what ever route you go.

coming along nicely

keep up the good work

love the green by the way
