hmmmm something familiar looking about that car....
it's scarey just how rusty these deck lids are inside. If they had just painted them before assembly....
As right and straight that bird looks like in primer, i cant wait to see the color on her! You and BC are kind of looking like twins, at least the cars you both have Good luck with the trunk deck lid!!!
Wow, amazing thread, I was up a little late and stumbled across it great work, and great descriptions and pics, i learned quite a bit, and some reassurance, thanks for your time u put into this.
The car is looking real good, great body lines .
That is some nasty cool weather you are having to deal with.
I tell ya...those old car guys just ain't right in the head........
Seen that wicked weather you guys are getting down there..narley! Fighting tooth and nail through the wind, rain, snow and ice for a 46 year old trunk deck lid. Yup, I'd say you're a 100% certified crazy car guy alright! LOL
It may have been lots of fun but i bet there was lots of work getting this ready, Your as close as it gets by the looks, My heart is pumping hard here, i can imagine what your thinking trying to go to sleep... ;)
Jeff, im loving all the work im putting in my 69 but buddy i do dream of the days you are in now with yours, i do hope once there it will look as good as what you are doing, when i say enjoy it, i truly mean it because once your done and on the road, you will remember all this work and whats best is when you can say "I built it" i think its as much fun as the cruising down the highway.. ENJOY!!!
I don't build them to sit. the cars I build are intended to be driven, and driven regularly. it is harder on them to sit. so I say run er.
