Not anywhere near me in Northern Cal that I know of except the air port and you would have to work there or know someone. We do not have sunco stations out here. That's as alien as a piggly wiggly lol

I can speak for all Californians when I say 'we wish'.

No, we can't buy racing fuel at the pumps.

But there are things about California that I wouldn't trade for anything else...

Any small municipal or private airport I have been to will sell you av gas. Some would even pump it directly into the car on the tarmac. Although many today will only pump it into an approved gas can. In other words one that was made for gas and has all of the federal balogna written on it. You can't just go there with an old water can an expect to get it filled.

You learn something new every day on this board...

There is a place in Brawley on the way out to Glamis that has race gas at the pump.

There use to be a place, I'm not sure if it is even still there in San Leandro Ca. {SF Bay Area}, ERC Racing Fuels {Engine Research Company}, that had 3 pumps with up to105- 116 octane race gas, last time I was there was in the early 90's... Were I live 91 oct. unleaded is the best with out going for racing fuels at the source in Sacramento or Modesto Ca. both many miles & 1-1/2 hr+ drive away... There is the little Columbia Muni. Air Port, they have 105-108 Av-gas with a bunch of additives in it, but wont pump into a car... We do have enormous govt. debt, beautiful warm sunshine & mostly great weather, beautiful beaches & many beautiful women though...LOL...

100 Octane at the pump

For those in the Metro San Diego area, check out Ochs Oil company in Vista CA.

They have Sunoco 100 octane race fuel at the pump at their Vista location.

Hey Bud it was TRICK racing gas in San Lorenzo I knew it well Since I lived in San Leandro.

They had one station that had, I think 101-112 I remember getting 110 for $2.25 a gallon :O

They are still around apparently in Oakdale as far as an address only.

ERC was in that area too some were, San Lorenzo, San Leandro, Hayward, Castro Valley area, I don't really remember exactly were now, some were in the hwy 13 & hwy 580 area, I do remember Trick racing fuel though, I worked in Hayward off main street, went there a few times myself...

Well looks like we are wrong, I was just told there is a 110 pump at a quick stop in Manteca,ca

Corner of Yosemite and airport

So you CAN buy racing fuel at the pump. And you CAN buy alcohol any day of the week at the grocery store. We got it all out here! We even got a $13B budget deficit, and plenty of potholes and crumbling bridges!

67 Joe...I know we can buy it here in Ga...but we also have sunoco service stations..but I buy mine by the drum and store at my local speed shop...last purchase Nov. last year for VP 112 was $6.00 a gallon at 55 gals per drum...and Pabster living as close to the pan handle of Fla as I do, and me being born and raised in Redondo bch Ca...we too have beautiful beaches, surf and beautiful women..be it they maybe a bit on the young side for my taste...but we do have em...alotz of em....gotta love those Southern girls..ya'll....lolollolol
