Landslide in Washington State

This massive slide happened about 40 miles south of where we live. We have friends that live near this area, but as far as we know they are safe. There's still a danger of more slides and flooding. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims.

Wow that was a massive slide, looks like took out the side of that hill, hope everyone else is safe, best of luck to all concerned or affected, my deepest condolences goes out to those who lost loved ones or friends & my well wishes goes out to all... It sounds like the river was blocked/backed up too {maybe only partially, looks like it completely blocked thou}, hope it doesn't flood that area now too... Moparsmitty, stay safe I hope your not anywhere near that slide or on the low lands below it... Mother Nature is a one powerful/cruel B_I_T_C_H sometimes...

Thanks Bud. We're not in the Stilliguamish river flood plain so we're safe. Some friends that live down by Stanwood are standing by to evacuate if the mud dam created by the slide gives way all at once. Hopefully that won't happen.
