As someone who has been knee deep in some of the regional efforts, I can speak somewhat as to what
agencies have been involved and to what extent, so yeah....
Better yet though, I challenge you to go get muddy and freeze your arse off by going through western NC
or parts of the other affected states (including my own - we're only an hour away from some of the worst
damages).
No, perhaps best yet - spend an hour researching what those actually affected are reporting, showing, saying...
they can fill your ears if you like.
What I specifically recommend you don't do is rely on the usual leftist "news" organizations (like the Tennessean,
which is unapologetically left) or self-serving federal agencies (like FEMA, whose leader famously told folks they
didn't have any budget left to help at one point).
There are actual by-God MIRACLES happening down there still to this day; some charitable groups have basically
dropped everything and live down in affected areas full-time now, rendering aid 24/7.
Local and state efforts are there too - but the feds? Dog and pony show....
The people there and the organizations actually working down there know.
You don't.
