Lets see all the cool 66-67 b-body mopar pictures.!!

View attachment 114783

Here's a picture of mine from last weekend at an indoor show I attended, I got 2nd in class for 60's custom.... I've posted a few pics of it before but wanted to share a current pic. Car was painted in 1993. Pulled the motor and tranny today so I can detail the engine a little better and have a built tranny ready to go back in.

What type of paint are you all using for the turquoise engine paint? I used mopar last time and had the car overheat and it bleached the engine paint badly.

I use the POR 15 engine paint kit. It takes almost a whole day on and off, but the paint is incredible. I did two cars about 10 years a go and they are still perfect. I swear the paint seals leaks, most likely not, but it sure seem to. I'd suggest you sandblast the whole engine to remove everything since the new paint will only be as good as what it sticks to. Also use a small bottle of bars leaks to prevent the annoying little antifreeze leaks from sitting that all get.

A few pictures from Friday. Weather was nice so I took it out for a couple hours. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Thanks ws27! I've looked at the por-15 online but hadn't heard of anyone that I know using it before. Hows the color compared to original? Would love to see a pic of your engine!!

Great post, mines a 1969 Charger but I've really grown to love these cars and if I do another it will likely be one of these. Allot of nice cars you guys have.

The two are slightly different. The red car was done first and the color is brighter, the blue car which was done later is not as bright, but much closer to the correct shade. I really like how well they held up over the years and will paint my next one with POR 15 too. Here are both, sorry but the pics were not taken to show off the paint:

Jimmy Addison & the famous Silver Bullet

pretty easy to see Jimmy pulled the old silver bullet with a towbar on that photo of it pulling the front wheels. I can tell that from experience LOL although my 70 RR bumper is not that bad.

I pulled my old 68 RR from IL down to Wichita Falls, TX once with a towbar behind a 67 300 I had just purchased (had like 68K miles on it and was like a new car) and that 300 pulled it so smooth and effortlessly I scared the hell out of myself a couple times when checking the rearview mirror for the man. I forgot the tow car was back there and almost had a heart attack when I saw the RR on my ***! I laughed out loud at my stupid *** once I realized/remembered a split second later I was towing that car.

Yeah I love the silver bullet got to see it at woodward dream cruise. I have more photos of my cars on my profile thanks for the awsome thread. Love your ride coronetman
