Let's see your custom tools - the ones you can't live without...

cobbled this together during a few beers.
vise stand/ shillelagh holder
1/2 plate, 2x2x1/4 square tube, 8'' 150# blind flange, which wasnt stout enough, drilled and tapped a 12'' 300# blind flange, with 5/8 studs and ny lock nuts. made it sturdier.

also made these up, kinda hard to grip a skinny rat handle at times.

"During" a few beers.... love it. Sure beats "after" a few beers.

Torsion bar removal clamp.

The Porta-power forces the lower control arm down against the shock bushings to give you that little extra rotation you need on the lower control arm to get the torsion bar in and out easily

Just finished this yesterday. Didn't want to pay $50 for a ball joint socket, so I made one for $free.99. Socket works great, still can't get the ball joint out lol

Another engine dolly cheap and dirty made out of 2x6s. 2 2x6s 25" long and 2 2x6 8" long screwed together to make a frame that the oil pan fits right into and cradles it nicely. It's more of a skid or pallet. It's better than putting the engine on old tires. Put the "skid" on a cheap furniture dolly and you have a cheap engine dolly to move your engine around as shown in pics. Cheap and easy.

Nice. You're like me. I always seem to have more scrap lumber around than I want. I fabricate things out of wood that could be made of steel. Best to put the scraps to good use. If it works what the hell. Quick and easy to work with.

No actually that came like that from the manufacturer, I haven't even used it yet.

Chargerjase asked for some measurements on the Rotisserie so I thought I'd share

Download the PDF and print, also some assembly pics.

I like the wooden frame for a engine support too.
Just didn't trust the engine stand with the completed, total engine's weight. Short block is ok. Useing it on my welding table.

Received this tac/dwell in the mail today. From an estate sale on ebay. Like new and works!
Have to have one since I'm going with a dual point dizzy on my build. My old one took a dive off the fender years back. Not that easy of a item to find anymore...

Way back in 71-72 I wanted one for Christmas. My Pops got one from Heathkit and we built it together, just like the one you got. Thanks for the memories.

Can someone make a tool.. I've been looking for my glasses for the last hour 1/2….

I made these two tools. They are universal and can get just about any job done. The one on the left works for candy. The one on the right is like a Harbor Freight tool. He worked great for a while but now he doesn't work.... He discovered girls
