I finally got around to cleaning up and installing a vintage Raynal Dodge dealership license plate frame. Unfortunately, the bottom of the frame (being longer than the plate) hits the bumper when I try to get at the fuel filler. It does not open far enough to get a pump nozzle in. I have a couple of ideas to try to fix the problem, however I am wondering if anyone has run into this problem, and if so what the fix was.
The frame is in nice shape, it is old enough to be made of metal instead of plastic, and the dealership was local, so I definitely want to use it.
