I really like the way you fix this car, your way and how you like it, planning some color in the Future? the way I see it and according to the prices of 2 gen chargers now you have a 50 k car.

I am not a fan of the original color of the Charger, FK5 Burnt Orange. I've seen it up close when it is fresh and while it is a nice color, it just isn't for me. "Jigsaw" will probably be painted B5 Blue one day. I'll probably use the newer formula used on THIS car:

Dusters are cool cars. I wonder where they all went. 20 years ago you couldn’t drive down the road without seeing one every hour. Now? I’ve only seen them on the internet, and sparsely at that. You guys did nite with that one, looks to be getting close to being done.

I agree... a few years back they were still seen daily. In 1973-74, they sold almost 700,000 of them, their best selling years. I’ve owned several. I love the body styling.

The Go Mango color used on 2005/2006 Daytona Chargers and Rams is the color to use on Jigsaw,it looks close to Burnt Orange,but less brown,more orange.

I actually liked the Toxic Orange they had on the Challengers. Could that be the same color?
I don't know if I ever mentioned it on THIS forum but I had a thread on it elsewhere....
I actually considered changing colors in the red car...to B-5 blue! Yes, I thought of blowing the car apart to sand down shiny paint to change colors. When I bought this wreck, it gave me the opportunity to change to the B-5 while not disturbing decent paint.

On the advice of Randy....AKA 1 Wild R/T, I bought the floor reinforcements to mount bucket seats in the car.

Busy week here but Soon I'd like to have these welded in place and get the Charcoal bucket seats from Ginger in this car.

They have been wrapped in plastic and up in the attic for almost 6 years!

It was over a year and a half ago that I cut out the rusty areas around the rear window channel and patched in fresh metal. February 2020!
Today I finally got some high build primer sprayed on. Three good coats. I'll let it dry and harden a few days, then sand and shape it. The next step afterwards is to spray a couple coats of paint into the channel so that when I install the window, it will be against a painted surface like stock.

Earlier this year, I broke the rear window in Ginger, my red car....

I took the occasion of the window being out to remove the package tray and properly enlarge the speaker holes.

I think that would be a good idea for this car too.

It's a tough call for sure. The way the prices are at the moment it would be hard to resist finishing it in a nice color (B5 blue as per your photo) and selling it. You'll have to pull the engine to do a good job but the market is so hot it would be worth the effort. Nice position to be in though - 2 Chargers in the shed.

I could sell it but the money it would bring wouldn't change my life. I'm okay on money and not in need of a life saving operation. Some people would be tempted though.

The stock speaker holes are too small for a 6 x 9 speaker so I am enlarging the holes. Unfortunately because of their close placement to the top section of the rear seat, I am moving the speaker holes slightly rearward so the forward edge of the speaker grilles don't hit the seats.

I used a junk speaker as a template since all 6 x 9 speakers that I have seen have the same pattern.
I "pie cut" the opening and started flattening out the edges. The rearward movement of the speaker hole resulted in the speaker frame sitting on an uneven surface. I'll flatten the metal and weld it back up, then test fit and trim more if needed. The top side will never be seen since the package tray covers it. the underside would only be visible if I kidnap someone. Regardless, I have this chance to do a nice job where it will look clean from underneath. I'll probably install speakers with some type of foam gasket between the speaker and the deck.

Man, I think I would do that car in '70 Go-Mango Orange w/Burnt Orange Interior. White Stripe. Best color combo IMO, But it looks like you alreay have seats from the red car.

When I bought mine someone had taken an air chisel and cut it from one end to the other then folded the metal down in.. I assume for a boom box? I ended up replacing the whole thing, it's was horrible!

That sounds like a nice approach for addressing the issue.

It was so long ago that I pulled the original rear shelf”package tray” from the red car, I just didn’t remember them.
