I think Kijiji might only be Canadian, even though it has been aquired by eBay I’m sure!
There is a Houston area site but it's pretty dead.....and yeah, it's part of eBay classifieds since 2010 I think.
I've used Kumho tires on several cars. Good price point, they wore well and maintained their balance. However, there was a lot of tread noise beginning around 25k/30k miles.
I have had best luck with Michelin tires. I don't like the price, but everything else is great about them.
I won't consider using Goodyear tires.
Had a set of Goodyear Eagles on my 95 Dakota for a good while years back....they were 255-60 15's mounted on 8" factory Durango wheels and man, just doing that turned that little Dakota into a corner burner lol I still have 2 of them and man, they must be at least 20 years old right now. IIRC, they were the Eagle LS and can't find them these days but the GT's are over 500 bucks.
I've always hade good results with
tirerack.com
They will ship to a local installer or your home. The installer has to agree to a set price to mount and balance.
I looked at tirerack and their prices seemed high.....and lots of places will ship like that. I used to order them and mount my own tires and bubble balanced them. Not the best way but seemed to work well. I'm too old now to want to mess with that anymore lol
Great reviews of the Milestar Patagonia's From a few of the Youtubers.
Will have to check those out.
I put a set of Yokohamas on my RAV daily driver in 2021 just before a long driving trip from SC to NM and back. They now have 24K miles on them and have been very pleased. They are much quieter than the original tires on the car and they look hardly worn at 24K.
My first set of 5 went on our 2000 Durango and at 7k miles I went to rotate them and found the rear tires were 30% gone! So I ordered another one to match the still brand new spare and put the new ones on the back. Yeah, the car had an LSD in it and she liked jack rabbit starts. Told her she could buy the next set of tires if she's going to drive like that. Right after she left me in 2017 she asked me if I'd rotate them and I said sure. I kept the two worse ones (which were still pretty decent) and grabbed the dinky spare out from under my 95 Dakota to throw up under the Durango. If she knew about it, she never said anything. I ran those two tires for another 2 years on the 95 and they are probably 80% gone but they are 29" tall and that little V6 just doesn't like the height that much.
Michelins - then forget about 'em.
I've run Mickys for years and like them but they are $$$$$. Funny thing is, all of the ones I have were given to me when my BIL bought new tires when the Mickys he bought new got to about 60% gone lol. About 5 years ago he bought a set of 5 for his Jeep and right after that he got a windfall from the VA for being declared 100% disabled and got retroactive money since he should have been declared 100% a lot of years ago. Anyways, he took some of that money and bought a new Jeep and gave me the old Jeep with the 5 new tires!
Better check with your new Boss.
Oh we went shopping for tires at Costco yesterday and she already knew what tires cost and that Costco wasn't exactly cheap. They are actually expensive!
