Primary tube & collector size really does relate yo cubic inches, not block width & height. A 470 low deck is not the same as a 383.
I wouldn’t get to wrapped up in stated numbers honestly. If you can see the Engine Masters series on beating/denting headers you’ll see a negligible effect. It’s an excellent episode, worth watching. I have a 67 charger, warmed up 383 with tti 1 3/4 ceramic headers (got them used- l looked at 1 7/8 because of the listed numbers too, but $600 used vs $1500 cdn new). The fit is excellent, workmanship awesome, and I bought 3” xpipe tti exhaust new. Zero need for 2” in your application in my opinion. And sometimes extra room in the engine compartment is valuable! The installation was easy, even by yourself. Use step clamps and not the supplied clamps though. 2.5” exhaust would have been better. Bigger can drain HP in some cases.I looked at the TTI website that was posted above and just going by there description of the 1-7/8 headers shows they are only good for 400-500 hp rating don't know how true of a statement that is
On the Dougs site they list the 451 for B motors 1/34" tubes and 3" collectors. The 452's are 2" and 3.5" collectors.
The B blocks are shorter and narrower than an RB. Wonder if there is any difference other than pipe and collector dia?
Hello all what size headers are you using with trick flow heads with low deck block in your B-body, I would like to use D452 but there tech line says that they won't fit my 67 Plymouth
