Haven't seen this posted before but found it really interesting from a hotrodding perspective, and it would definitely look unique and interesting in an engine bay.

It's not a real HEMI of course, but this guy clearly went through a lot of effort to make this work. Power numbers seem pretty stout at 635 HP on 413ci at 10.5:1 on pump gas with a pretty mild cam.

Pricing, as you can imagine for a boutique solution like this, is high. Looking through his site a fully assembled engine with fuel injection added is around $18k, plus custom headers.

If you recall, Arias (used to?) build hemi heads for Chevy heads for top fuel proving the old adage; "if you can't beat them, join them".

figure the LS is the new SBC (millions of them)
anything & everything will be done to it

Pretty well done/written article
some nice engineering too
nice fabrication on that intake & injectors
nice detailed photos too
370cfm int. flow with less than 0.600" gross valve lift
(0.595" valve lift, is not exactly a mild street cam, but works)
respectable #'s for a N/A 416cid 4" stroker
but costly build
Looks pretty damn cool I'll give em' that...

should have done a dual TB setup or a 6bbl 3x2bbl TB's

it is what it is,
even if it's a Cheby build 'on a MoPar site'
I did find it interesting,
I'm an equal opportunity gearhead

the 'Ford based' -Hammerhead/hemi heads-
originally designed for Ford -on a Cheby-
that have a very similar bore spacing,
only slight massaging was needed
I found that part very interesting, ingenuity at it's best,
certainly thinking outside the box

Learn something new every day here

A damn cheby & ferd, if you can't beat em' (MoPar Hemi)
might as well try to copy them, use their technology

I remember an old advertisement that Chrysler/MoPar put out publicly thanking the competition for helping them make there engine famous. Because they all used the Chrysler HEMI.
And your right!

If you can’t beat them, join them, and so they did by putting a HEMI head on there pile of sh......

Even Hemi copycat heads didn't make the competition any serious threat to the real Hemi.

These can be had to bolt on to a small block chevy.

There was a article I read a year ago about someone putting Ford 429 Hemi heads on a LS block with very little modification. To be honest, the LS block is an exact copy of a Ford Windsor block! GM has been stealing ideas for years...
