1966 Hemi Belvedere II Project

Did the 66 bench seat tracks also allow for rake and height adjustment like the buckets - or was that a buckets only thing?

I have a 64 bench seat in my 66 Plymouth 2 door sedan and it went in the holes and had no issue .
I cant speak for bench seats , as Ive never tried them .
BUT on buckets The difference between the years is where the seat tracks bolt to the seats themselves , the bolt spacing is different . At least I know for a fact the 68/69 seat track will not interchange with a 1970 for sure.

I just checked my two original 66 cars and they match my surviver 65 coronet and the 64 matches the 65,64,66 and these are all bench seat cars two and four door . I put a 64 seat that came from a 63 in a 66 with no modifications what do ever .

I finished cleaning up the car today and dropped the engine off at the rebuilders. The heads were heavily ported and relieved so stock exhaust manifolds won’t work. Headers only. I’ll be looking for new heads. I was really happy to find the shop. They had around a dozen Hemi’s undergoing rebuilds. Timeframe for the rebuild is around 12 months so in the interim I’ll get the headliner in, the rest of the interior installed, the dash repainted, glass installed, a new wiring harness installed and throw a cover on it. I’m assuming there’s a cover for the spare tire well?
A good cut and polish is going to do wonders.

Not sure originally but I think I would put a small bead of caulking or strip caulk under It. The screws on my 67 look like those above although shorter as he described.

Well, this will be the last update for a while. Heading back north on Monday and won’t be back down until Thanksgiving. I’ll be looking for an upholstery shop to install the headliner when I’m back down. Hopefully I can find someone willing to come to the car.
Here’s a few photos of the car as it sits. Finally took some photos under the car and I’m really happy with how it looks. Definitely going to need to get under it with a shop vac and remove some spider homes…..

When your under the car cleaning wouldn't hurt to photo any inspection paint marks. Car cleaned up well, that's work.

Fantastic. You got your money's worth

Thanks!

Is a bead of sealant applied between the part and the body?
Should be a thin foam gasket material between the body and the metal weatherstrip retainer.

DMT has said material

I submitted a request to the Chrysler Historical Services for my IBM card on September 16th. I received an emailed copy of it today. Now if I could only decipher it. lol
