I have now decided to put the Magnum 500 on my 72 Dodge Charger, I can not figure out whether I should put 15 x 8 or 15 x 10 rear, I expect to put 295/50/15 tires at the rim I choose.
What do you think - super too if someone had some pictures with the 72 Dodge Charger and Magnum 500 in the sizes I have written about

Nobody have pics with 72 Charger and Magnum 500 mounted on the two sizes Im interested in ?

Theres a real good thread on moparts about this. You will have to search for it. Here's a pic of my 74. 275/60 0n 8 and 245/60 on 7. Most b bodies require a pretty good rear height to clear 10s. Mine has the prefect no hassle size. If they made the 10s with a little different offset, I would have 10s. 10-20-2011 051.JPG

Google 'tiresize & rim width'..Numerous sites that tell what matches up.

15s:headbang: My car is going to look alot better when I get the top back on and the interior back in it ! I'm putting a new top on it,a headliner and I will be glad to get it done.

Yeah it's got Gabriel Hijackers with dual lines and about 50# of air, which puts the wheelwell just above the tire. 74,s have cushy soft springs so it had to have help. I'm in the process of gathering up stuff to tear into the rear and will probably add a leaf later on, but will still keep the air shocks. The good thing about Hijackers is that they are a shock also, some airshocks are just airbladders.

Super and thanks !
I go for the 15x8 (4,5 backspace) and 295/50-15 on rear, look forward to have it mounted!

It came out with 15x10 with 295/50 15 and new leaf spings from ESPO

Love the old school look :headbang:

Next step, on front will be 235/60-15 on 15x7 :)

Kenneth,

Are those the 5.5 back spacing Wheel Vintiques Magnums? I currently have 4.5 back spaced Steel rims, and they are so close to the leaf springs. Can you post a picture from the rear?

They are from Specialty Wheel (http://www.specialtywheel.com/ )- in size 15x10 with backspace 5.0

I shoot a picture and post it soon

I agree, that gold and black really does looks great! If i ever redo my car, somehow im putting a vinyl top on it, every-time i see one it kind of gets the envy button pushed lol, and yours is super with those colors. The "old school look" makes it better still!

Maybe the Chargers are different, just a bit in the area of the wheel well, i have 15x9 on Centerlines and if i hit a dip, fender well scrapes the raised white lettering on mine, that shock stud in your picture is what ive been doing all week, mine snapped off, had to drill it out, tap the mount and put a new one in, all because of this, i put on new shocks to keep it from happening. You have any problems with this?

Nope, I mounted new shocks for little year ago, new leaf spring mounted here yesterday, I have not yet been cruising with my new wheel set up - weather in Denmark, still to cold - and when we have frosty nights they still trow salt on tarmac(waiting for some good rainy days :) ) - so late April we ready for cruising :)
