All original, unmolested, 426 street wedge car. It even still has the original upper radiator hose clamps! Worth $5,000? Absolutely! I'll bet you could get it running in an hour or two.

Dont sound like it's a max wedge either. Pics of trunk floor. Hows the floor pans. Better yet maybe a phone # of the guy selling it for the deceased. PM me that info if you can. If i like what i think i see i'll make an offer if you'll broker it for me. Check engine numbers for what the motor really is. Good title i assume? Is the car hung up in any probate court? When folks die they sometimes leave an unsigned title making things a tad bit more difficult in making the exchange. Let me know.Thanks

It has a salvage title because of estate sale ? The only thing I could figure out on fender tag is it is real 426-4 BBL street wedge. This car is absolutely rust free,unheard of around here.I guess it is from being garaged for 35 years without seing daylight.I have to make an offer becuase it is so clean and unmolested.If I get it it will be at MOPAR NATS in Columbus.If not ill take the 67 Belvedere II.

Look on the left front ( driver's side ) of the block. There should be a flat pad with numbers stamped into it....or look for a casting number. According to the Big Block Mopars ( HP Books ) reference, the stamping should be something like C H 426 B where the "426" would be the displacement. Also, according to the same reference book, the casting number for the block, for a '65, could be 2406730 or 2432230...and those numbers could be used for both the street wedge and the Max Perf wedge.

BTW, where's the car been sitting? Don't forget to check the floor pans as well as the trunk, rocker panels fenderwells, etc. Give yourself some "bargaining chips" when the present owner suddenly gets real smart about the details of the car...and good luck.
