Hello: I'm new to the "b" body forum, usually deal with the "a" body but need some help installing a new Holley mechanical fuel pump. I have a 1967 Dodge Coronet with a 400 cid engine (not original), the car currently has a electric Holley fuel pump that I have been having problems with it this year. Looking for some instructions as to how to install the new mechanical fuel pump, I pulled the block-off plate off where the fuel pump should go and the push rod appears to still be there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ken the rod lifts up, and a bit of grease will make it stay up long enough to get the fuel pump arm into position.
If that doesn't work take out the bolt in the block under the rod and use a screw driver to push the rod up and then put or fuel pump in as you remove the driver.
Once done put the bolt back in...I knew you would.... but just had to say it LOL

As it says above but you'll have to pull the pipe plug out to get the push rod out so you can put grease on the end that rides on the cam. Heavy wheel bearing grease is good. Just have the pump, gasket and bolts ready to give little time for the push rod to slide out while you get the pump in.
