Meet Max the '71 Coronet

Check the heads for cracks. Magnums had an issue, not all but many. One of the dealers I worked at, we kept 4-6 pairs on hand. Trannies and converters were frequent rebuild/replace too. Poor shift calibrations and junky oe converters. All easy fixes plus upgrades are available. Magnums are great packages.
I have brand new heads on hand already, for just that reason. Also I'm using a Hughes EFI intake on it, so the lower plate sealing issues on the stock manifold won't be a problem either.

Consider taking a silver Sharpie and highlighting the edges of your grill fins. You have the silver front with the flat black background. I've also seen red that looked good, but on yours, I don't think red would fit. Maybe another color?? The all-black grill looks somewhat dull. Just sayin'.
I like it all black, but thanks for the suggestion.

Do you have a link to the spacers you used? I have some 2010 17inch Challenger wheels I want to trial fit on my Dodge as well as an old Ford which I think uses the same pattern as old Dodges.
These are the ones I'm using. Not hubcentric, but the original wheels aren't either. A lot of the Fords use the same 5x114.3mm (5x4.5") as B bodies do, and I've seen people use the Ford wheels on B bodies, so apparently the hub size is at least similar.

I dig owner-built projects that are different than the norm. This one fit s the bill just fine. Hope to see it in person some day.

Thanks! I might give them a go on my Ranchero next summer, might be a bit of a funky look but also a less expensive way to get more rubber under it.
