Modern Bullitt build

Very informative pictures, will be helpful when it's time to install my regulators.

I installed the steering column and the custom thicker grip steering wheel I made a few years ago. The thicker steering wheel is so much more comfortable then the thin original.
Thanks
Pat

Pat, as always, nice job! Question, with that double d shaft, I don’t see a stand off bearing support and without it, that shaft will flop all over. Do you have that setup and I’m just not seeing it?

No need for a standoff with just two universal joints. The steering column is supported by bearing and the steering rack is supported by a bearing.
Thanks
Pat

Installed the right side vent and door glass this week end. Very happy with the aftermarket power window regulator.

Thanks

Pat

Looks super, as always Pat. Thanks for taking us on the journey!

Yes sir, The door regulators have plenty of power, and this weekend I’ll be able to test the rear window.
I really like them. My only complaint (More of a note than a complaint) was the lack of any type of a mounting solution provided for door switches other than the crank handle style. I had to space the regulators away from the door panel to give clearance for the switch connector and then trim the long pin off each switch. I then trimmed the sheetmetal to allow the Switch to fit in the area occupied by the original crank. It was that or order new door panels which I didn’t really need. A molded plastic box of some sort would be nice. I found the provided LED light was very handy for the install! I still use it daily.

Hawk,
Thank you for following along with this far too long of a build.

Awesome work. Love the attention payed to all of the custom details.

Thanks for noticing the small details, most can never be seen when the cars is completed.

I almost needed to space the regulators out but I had just enough room after cutting the window crank shaft down. We used Electric life window cranks on my sons car and was disappointed in the motor torque. It would need the engine running to have enough power. The Nu-Relic Electric window regulator kits appear to work excellent!
But I didn’t get an LED light :-(

Thanks!
Pat

I Installed the passenger side rear window and trim. The AMD quarter glass was a heavy 1/16” taller on the rear 12 inches compared to the original. So I had to sand it down with a DA sander to get the best fit. All of the AMD glass has a rough finish on edge so I use the DA sander starting with 60 grit and working my way to 180 to polished edges that shows.
Thanks
Pat

well that saves me the time for figuring if there was room for 2 AGM batteries and or a small hidden subwoofer box. looks like possibly both could fit the battier got a bit further back in the trunk area. OR put the box end of the sub UNDER the rear deck lid kind of sort of like nissan did on my other car.

what's alpine box under your deck lid?

As a long-time lurker to this thread, I just gotta say....
every time there's an update, it takes me 5 minutes to get my jaw up off the floor.
Simply amazing work. Kudos, sir!

Thank you for following along and for your kind words! My jaw hit the floor every time I think about how many years I’ve been working on this car. But I hope to be done soon and that’ll give both of our jaws a break;-)
Thank again!
Pat
