Is it just me or are the vast majority of the FBBO members conservatives? That's the vibe I get from most on the sight anyway. Takes a lot of self determination, work and lots of trial and error to build our cars so maybe that's why there's a lack of libs "work". HaHa

Same here. I have been banned from Moparts for voicing my political opinions.
I have asked this same question and the reasons for a YES response were varied.
MOST Mopar guys are Older and older gents are more likely to be Conservative/Republican.
MOST Mopar guys are trail blazers/pioneers that do their thing despite what the "Sheep" tell them to do.
MOST Mopar people have limited resources to make their stuff work, so we/they tend to be MORE self reliant.

I dont think any liberal actually claims to be liberal & there are conservatives that are not too conservative in my mind. In some ways Im conservative,some things Im liberal on. Only thing I have against some of the conservatives is that they think they are the only ones allowed to be patriotic. Some of the liberals think things should be given to them. Here in Alabama you would think the way people talk that both Clinton & Obama stole their elections because you never hear anyone speak up for them. But they both won twice. Seems to me that the minority is always the loudest no matter how much the winner wins by.

I think that most car guys and gals are by their very nature willing to do some work and get their hands dirty while fixing up their car. The very idea of working for what you want sort of sets us in the conservative bench, don't you think?

I'm neither... I'm an Independent thinker & Voter, I vote for whom I believe will be the better person, to do the job that is necessary, it so happens in the last 20 years it's been people/politicians, that are far more transparent, less corrupt, that hole heartedly support our economy, the Constitution/Bill of Rights/Amendments, our Military, Rights to work, Rights to Bare Arms, want stronger Border control & a smaller less obtrusive, truthful/honest, more efficient Federal & State Govt.... Instead of the Tax & Spend crowd, that wants the Govt. grown to unsustainable levels, wants to spread the wealth, take from the rich & give to the poor or to those who don't work or pay any taxes... They also have created a entitlement culture in the last decade or so for public sector/civil servant pay & benefits, that can't possibly ever be sustained, over any period of time... They are not paying attention to real world issues or how the real world/private sector runs business successfully, use that as a model... IMHFO their just growing our debt to levels of Bankruptcy, kicking the can down the road, so to speak... They seem to be the most deceitful, lying & corrupt politicians since Watergate era... Their fail economic policies, have also grown the #'s of people, needing & on food stamps for well over 3+ years, #'s of people on welfare, much higher unemployment than what the #'s published, much higher #'s of disability, much lower graduation rate in most all our Inner-Cities Schools {All to the Highest Levels in our countries history} & Adopting UN-wanted UN-necessary UN-needed Taxation/Laws for pushing their Progressive Socialist Ideology... They're all things that are killing small businesses & that screw the working class/general public, the people that pay the bulk of taxes... It seems they seem to want to, give it all to those who don't & won't pay any taxes, don't & won't own any property, they just seem to want the Govt. to do everything, for everyone, all the time... All while they get rich & live like kings & queens, while in the Congress/Senate or White House... It's been an assault on our Constitution & especially the last few years....

I am very conservative, and active politically on a local level. I am on our Town Board, and chairman of our town's Republican Committee. I proudly fly the start and stripes and a Gadsden flag in front of our home!

After voting for Carter back in the 70's, I decided to learn who the candidates are before wasting my time. IMO, the people were tired of the way the Republicans were running things but again imo, I don't think the Dems are doing any better. Also, I'm liberal in some things but probably lean more towards the conservative side. Also, I feel the politicians have really strayed off the path of what they are supposed to be doing and who they work for. It really burns my *** when a member of the house is set for life once they retire and have free health insurance and the list goes on and on. It's high time for a big change in the way things are....

Yeah, Budnick usually gets it right and I totally agree with everything he said. I became active after having kids and must say sometimes I wish I didn't "the things I've learned make me sick". The way I see it is the Republican party is the new Democratic party and the Democratic party is now the Communist party, there is no Conservative party only a few Conservatives.

Here we go: All Democrats are liberal. All Republicans are conservative. All the Democrats are trying to get all the Republicans' money and give it away. All Blacks are lazy. All Asians are poor drivers. All 7-11s are owned by East Indians and all taxi drivers are Middle Eastern. Got anymore blankets to throw over groups of people? Hope I didn't miss any... Geez.
