hi, are there any other brands that are good besides mitymount brand?prefer something a little less in price. i have a 1970 roadrunner 383 auto. thanks

Last pair I bought came from napa.
They were fine,
Do not buy ( Anchor ) brand they are crap.

Moroso solids in all my cars.

i found motor mounts at mancini racing for 19 bucks each. i wonder how good they are?

Ask them to measure the thickness of the rubber.

Most nowadays are to thin, like only an inch thick. Factory mounts are 1 1/8 or thicker. Kim

Ask them if they're chinese crap. Guaranteed to fail. Unless you install solid mounts, always use a secondary chain/strap. I've heard stories about the schumacher mounts as well.

I removed the engine bracket, bolted the motor mount to the bracket and then drilled a 3/8" hole through both the mount and bracket. Countersunk the motor mount side for a flat head cap screw, and then used a locking nut on the engine bracket side, and allowed about 0.010" clearance between the nut and motor bracket for some flexing of the motor mount.
First one I did was with the cheap Anchor mounts, and they didn't break, but I wouldn't use them again. The nut for the mount to the frame was welded off-center so I had to clearance and tap the nut hole to get the frame mount bolt into the motor mount.
The Poly-Loc mounts are good, but expensive. I bought a set and just used one on the drivers side of both the Coronet and Charger with regular mounts on the passenger side,

thank you. i removed my headers and exhaust and figured it would be a good time to replace the motor mounts. mine visually look good ,but dont know for sure. i found some from 440 source and mancini. im just not sure if they are any better than what most places are selling these days. thanks
