motor mount suggestions.

It appears I broke the left motor mount on my '69 Road Runner 383 or it has come loose. Good time to change them anyway and wondering what folks suggest. Go with O.E type rubber or poly etc. Car is my cruiser not for racing. Auto trans, lumpy cam. Suggestions on source? I'm in western Canada.

I just replaced my set of worn rubber mounts. I first installed a set of Shumacher Poly Loc mounts. They are a quality made product, the problem I had with them is the amount of vibration they transferred into the chassis of my car. I kept them in the car for a 10 mile drive and replaced them with a set of Mitymounts. These are a rubber reinforced set, similar to the Poly Locs, but with rubber instead of polyurethane. After installation, no vibrations like the Poly Locs had created. If you have a high output engine and like your burnouts and hard launches, go with the Schumacher mounts, otherwise I would recommend the Mitymounts. PS, if you decide to go with the Schumacher mounts they are out of stock right now, but I have a lightly used set I am looking to sell. PM me if interested.....

I agree with the guys, Mopar has to have one of the crappiest motor mounts I've ever seen but the Schumachers address the problem. Another option is just adding their torque strap to a set of factory mounts (probably isolates more vibration than the polies).

I like rubber mounts with a bolt through on the drivers side sold at Mancinis along with a torque strap.

No experience with poly locs, but the Schumacher interlockers give smooth performance.

For now I installed an O.E. style rubber unit. Unlike the broken unit this one has the bolt passing completely through it. I'm amazed the other one lasted this long. Might add a torque chain for backup. Anyone have opinions on that?

I would second the torque strap from Schumacher for about $80 or less. I went with the O.E. motor mounts from Summit and the torque strap. So far so good.
