Movies you won't watch again for various reasons....

I don’t remember ever sitting through a movie I have already seen. One exception, Portrait in Black so I could seen Anthony Quinn tell her “It practically drives itself, and the drive through Devils Slide.

Google (or use your favorite other) "cleavage" with or without any other words and you get that pic of Sarandon every single time.

Speaking of "every single time"-

I'm not the biggest fan of "Grease", but I'll watch ONJ in spandex every single time.

I absolutely cannot stand it when a song catches then gets played relentlessly, for that reason I hate the Titanic.. couldn't stand the movie anyways.

Oh you have to be including “A Star in Born” - the recent one with Lady Gagme and I forget the guys name. They played that song every 15 minutes for what seemed like a couple of years - until when you heard it coming you turned off the radio.

Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner. HORRIBLE. The movie came out about the same time as Tombstone and told a similar story Tombstone is a fine movie.

My wife and I are huge movie buffs - and sure there are quite a few I’ve watch several times. But because of what”s gone on in this country these last several years and that sewer Hollywood’s part in it there are many, many new movies and a **** load of others that I would’ve watched again - that I simply refuse to watch. Also goes for television series as well. I’ve never been a repeater on tv shows but their are series I will no longer watch for the same reasons. I can’t give you the reasons on this thread because I’d likely get clipped - but just use a little bit of imagination and you’ll know what I mean. An awful lot has been clipped from our viewing displeasure……. I wish Hollywood would simply implode and put itself out of our misery….

In most cases, what prevents me from seeing a movie again is a depressing ending or a completely boring plotline.

Leaving Las Vegas with Nicolas Cage. The man is a hopeless drunk that moves to Nevada to drink himself to death.

The Deer Hunter

I thought it was an excellent movie at the theater, but I probably will not watch it again.
One of mom’s all time faves. Speaks of it consistently when discussing favorite movies…

I believe Hollywood is imploding!!
Prior to Covid box office revenues were in serious decline.
During Covid there was no product produced.
Post Covid many theaters did not survive the pandemic.
Some 40% closed for good.
Streaming had always been available prior to Covid but the studios just didn’t want to take a chance with damaging the theatre venues. Streaming movies has destroyed the theatre industry.
Hollywood alienated over 50% of
It’s audience by producing liberal
horseshit product.
Hollywood can not survive on
superhero cartoon movies.
People just aren’t returning to theaters.
With crime the way it is (everywhere)Who wants to go out at night anymore?
When the anchor theatre closes
it has taken the surrounding businesses with it that feed off the theatre business. Bars, dining, etc.
Movie theaters will soon be obsolete!

Christ...all those bullshit cartoon-like "super" hero movies are worthless.
Well, I did like the first Iron Man.
The first two Christian Bale Batman movies were great. Aside from that, who the hell cares about the rest. Spider man? Some queer in tights that swings around a city? Pfffft!
They are easy to make since all they need are a few faces and a bunch of computers churning out CGI images.
There have been some great movies over the past ten years but they are few and far between.
Hell Or High Water was great.

When was the last time you remember seeing a (STARTS FRIDAY) commercial on TV?

Don't forget Hollywierd kissing CCP *** for $$$$$$!!
FYI:The real Atlantic City is a **** hole, Burt would be pissed.

Titanic, any Star Wars movie. I'll say that the original star wars is the only one I've seen.

Not a movie but (Juff Dunham), there is nothing funny about a grown man playing with dolls, it's actually kinda sad.

Wizard of Oz was a movie I wanted to see bad as a kid, because my Dad absolutely hated the movie! One year, he was working when it came on (remember when it came on once a year?) and I watched it with my little sister. And that is all I saw of it - once. I kept hoping Toto would kill them all and eat their miserable remains. I remember asking my Dad why he disliked the film so much, and he said he saw it when he was eight or so. The flying monkeys scared the $hit out if him! Coincedentally, that is why I don't care for it, either!

For a truly awful movie, you need to watch Mountain Family Robinson sometime. This came out in 1979, and it's a horribly-acted movie filmed in some of the best mountain scenery anywhere (western Colorado). The best way to watch this is with the sound off and improvise your own dialogue for the characters - including the bears, horses, and the rest of the menagerie. This is one movie where you hope the bears eat everyone to put them out of their misery of being unable to act!

I agree that the last six Star Wars movies flat-out suck! That is, the last six of the nine that were made, not the order in which they are made to fit the storyline.

There is not one movie of the Marvel series I like, other than maybe Ant Man.

I refuse to see anything that has the wholly-untalented and obnoxious Will Ferrell in it. I can NOT stand that SOB! And yes, I'll say it - Talladega Nights is garbage.

As some of you know, I'm an actor (very part-time!). I know a LOT of seriously talented actors, crew, writers, producers and directors. Oklahoma is becoming the new center of the universe, in terms of filmmaking. The state offers great incentives to film here, as long as the majority of hires are Oklahoma-local. If you haven't seen the new Paramount series Tulsa King, it's pretty damned good! Starring Sylvester Stallone, he is a mob boss that is relocated to Tulsa as part of the witness protection program. And he stirs things up a bit in Tulsa! Nevermind, much of this is filmed in OKC, but...! I know quite a few of the people involved. It's very cool to see this!
