My 1968 Roadrunner Complete Rotisserie Resto 500+ Pics!

Nice Work!

PS It looks like your heater hoses are backwards.

Them hoses are just layin in there. I dont even have the heater core/box in yet....Got the power steering belt and alternator belt today. Now, just waiting on the alternator to get back, and I get to fire this thing up!

Great job Jerley87! Beautiful 68. I noticed you used PPG Deltron. Did you use all PPG products on the car, like the self etching wash prime, v-prime, and v-sealer?

Only thing not pgg used was the high build primer...that was cumberland. Self etch primer was used on the bare metal. Then prior to paint, i used ppg's omni epoxy primer as a sealer...just reduced it 50% to use it as a sealer. DBC basecoat and the 2021 clear.

I had one just like this back in the '70s. I got a set of chrome reverse wheels and painted them black, and had RWL tires on mine. It had kind of a NASCAR look with the deep steel wheels.

Finally got the coil in with the correct number/date on it. So I spent the day putting that on and dug out the heater box out of the storage bay and spent 2 hours scrubbing/shining it up and put a new heater core in it. Put the insulation on the firewall and bolted the heater box in. Going to do the pedals and emergency brake tomorrow and get them put in. Glass is on the way so I wanna get this dash and windshield in next weekend. Getting closer to car show time here in PA!!!

I got the pedal assemblies all bead blasted and painted. Z-Bar and all linkages hooked up and shifter adjusted. Put steering column together with a new turn signal switch. Got the new chrome switch covers so I changed all of those today. Those little roll pins really suck! And I restored the VIN tag today and put it back on the dash with some NOS rivets...Keeps on coming together....!

Wow! Very nice!! Did the 68 headliner not have sail panels for the headliner sides above the back seat?

My 69 has sail panels, I much prefer the seamless look of your headliner.

68's didnt have sail panels...something none of us picked up on until it was time to put the headliner in...69's had sail panels though...lol and 68's only have one coat hook on the left side....

That's good planning, because coat hooks are heavy and if you put it on the right side the car would flip over from torque when you mash the gas.

Sorry guys. Been off the forum for a while. Gonna post about 35 more pics right now. As of tonight the car is about 99.5% finished. Just a few bugs to work out...Going to take final completed pics tomorrow but I will include one now for a teaser! Haha!

You have been busy! Sure shows to...Very nice, your going to have one beauty for sure man!!!

Attention to detail is incredible. Did you bend the fuel line to the carburator yourself or was it purchased. If you bought it let ne know where, thanks.
