My 68 Charger R/T "Bullitt" re-creation

Thanks, Blackblazer717, you are correct it took a few hours on and off to mask it, I sure don't want to do that again for a long time...lol.

Steering wheel

Got my steering wheel cleaned & polished, now it's ready to go.

A silver Testors model paint pen works much better for those bezels notice how the silver has "bled" back into the black pattern you can control that with the paint pen plus it is much faster!!! looks good though, are you keeping the Charger R/T on the dash? I don't think thats factory? looks pretty cool though.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it's appreciated ! In regards to the bezel, I tried a paint pen, but it did not have the nice "shine" as the spray chrome. So I decided to to it the hard way. I'm going to touch up the black, so you will see no "bleeding". The Charger R/T on the dash was my idea, thought it looked cool. Ma Mopar did not start the nameplates on the dashes until 1971, but I don't think she'll mind.....lol.

Your going to have one cool car when ya get this done! Good luck with it...

Yeah, I think it looks pretty sharp. (maybe hollow them out and put a light behind them? oOOh!:eusa_dance:

Turn Indicators

Glad everybody appreciates my work. I like your thought, but instead, I put new bulbs and cleaned the caps, so at night the gauges should have nice cool "blue hue" to them. Will post a pic when done. I also cleaned and organized the hood mounted turn indicators. I also had a "helper", my chocolate lab could care less.

My buddy has a 68 Charger, and he cleaned the gauge faces with warm water that had a little detergent added, the numbers came up white again. Just wanted to throw that out there.

speaker

While the dash was pulled, I decided to replace the speaker. What a pain in the rear it was....lol.
