My 68 Charger R/T "Bullitt" re-creation

Console

Had some time this weekend, so I repainted my valve covers the correct color and started work on the console.

Thanks man! I imagine that one guy by the green truck appreciated seeing that ole girl going down the road! Shes as quiet as a church mouse, your neighbors have nothing to complain about. I have to admit i was on full alert waiting for ya to trump on it but, Got to work out the gremlins before the fun stuff, smell of rubber melting and all.. :) Thank you sir, good video, and good luck as you finish it!!

Thanks for the compliments. The guy gave me the thumbs up, another did too, while raking his leaves. She's got a good rumble, just the vid does not pick it up. I for sure will stomp on it when she feels better and of course get a vid too...lol.

Sounds and looks great can't wait until I can drive mine on it's first trip around the block. Hell I can't wait until mine runs for the first time since I got it. LOL! Keep up the good work.

Wow, you've been buisy. I've owned mine almost ten years and didn't really even get started until a couple years ago. My wife "being so understanding" has made it were the only time I can get something done without complaints is at night when everybody else is in bed, needless to say I don't get much sleap on the weakends. Goog luck looks great

I hear ya, your car looks great too. Mine sat for about 10 years too, but family came first so it went to the "back burner". Now my kids are older, I decided to start again, plus they all were interested in my car. My wife's only real complaints were parts boxes stacked in the living room, the UPS and mailman got to know me by a first name basis...lol. I also spent a lot of late night hours in the garage, still do..............

stalled

With Christmas and New Years, my project has "stalled" and now the garage has to be sorted and cleaned out again, so with our first snow she had to sit out in the cold..................

Sometimes i wonder if its ever going to end, I think today is the first day in a week we didn't get any snow, heck the sun was even out and about cheering things up! :)

floor

Pulled the seats, now have to work on the floor before the new carpet is installed. Just some surface rust, some good sanding, some rust bullet, or rust converter, paint and I'm set.

Floor looks good and solid. You should be able to breeze thru that.

floor

Got the floor sprayed with rust reformer. It does a pretty good job. Now just needs paint.

Floor looks great and I see you have the bucket seat braces in as well.

Awesome project and looking good! I'll be following your progress, keep up the good work and let's see some rubber laid down the street soon :icon_thumleft:

Finally got my rear defroster restored and painted, now just have to put it back in.

Cool to see another Charger with one! Mine still has its original one and the previous owner was saying it was a somewhat rare option ?
